Medical Staffing Network is pleased to feature March’s Nurse of the Month Cathy Grissom, a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Cathy was nominated by Denise Calise who said this of her service, “If there are sad circumstances in the L&D unit, Cathy is so comforting to the patients; she sits with them, holds them, sheds tears with them and most of all is gentle and caring. She takes care of the infant as if it were her own and tries to help the family understand what lies ahead. I have never met anyone who goes out of their way to help these families in such a difficult time. Not only is she caring and sensitive to the needs of ALL the patients, she is the same with her coworkers.”
