Medical Staffing Network Issues “Healthcare across America” Snapshot Infographic, Depicts Depth of Nursing Supply & Demand Disparity

Medical Staffing Network Healthcare, LLC (MSN) has released its “Healthcare across America,” an infographic that is anchored upon data that reveals the depth of the nursing supply and demand disconnect across the top five healthcare markets.

When it comes to healthcare in the United States, there are five concentrated areas of consumption, which coincide with the largest population centers–California, Florida, Illinois, New York and Texas. With the introduction of affordable care, this disparity is only going to increase. While these five states account for nearly a third of all the registered nurses in America, it is simply not enough to meet the rising demand of these healthcare epicenters and to counteract the steady stream of Baby Boomers exiting the workforce.

“Our Healthcare across America infographic was designed to expose the gravity of the disconnect,” said Brian Poplin, President and CEO of Medical Staffing Network. To address this growing concern, Medical Staffing Network is working closely with healthcare organizations to redistribute the healthcare workforce within these five regions, providing employment opportunities, decreasing clinician shortages and ensuring that care is accessible throughout the country.”
